1949 Radios
The 1949 line wasn't large, and many of the models were carried over from previous years
4-A-10 "The Reporter"
A cute, louvred bakelite set. Carried over from previous years.
4-A-11 "The Majorette"
"Tops in table-set performance; tops in styling."
This set has an interesting dial with artistic styled numbers. Carried over from previous years.
4-A-12 "The Narrator"
Carried over from previous years, this set offered a very interesting bakelite cabinet, as well as AM-FM reception.
4-A-15 "Concert Sheraton"
The top-end console for 1949, 14 tubes plus rectifier. A staggering $349.50!
4-A-26 "The Newscaster"
The Newscaster is a five tube ivory painted bakelite radio. It has big-set features like automatic volume control and an electrodynamic speaker. Carried over from previous years.
4-A-62 "The Marlborough"
A mid-range console for 1949. Carried over to 1950.
4-A-64 "The Contemporary"
A mid-range console for 1949.
4-A-65 "The Canterbury"
A mid-range console for 1949.
4-A-66 "Sheraton Grand"
A mid-range console for 1949.
4-A-68 "The Journal"
A small, value priced set at $16.95.
4-A-69 "The Sunrise"
A nicely styled clock radio, these don't seem to be terribly common finds.
4-A-71 "The Wellington"
A tabletop radio/phono combination. Uncommon.
