Welcome to airchiefradios.com!
This site is designed to show the many model of Firestone Air Chief radios
beginning in 1936. Why the Air Chief? I happen to think they are very nice radios,
with excellent style and performance. While none of these radios were actually
manufactured by Firestone, they were sold under the Firestone name at Firestone
stores.
This site is a combination of photos from my personal collection, as well as
advertisements I have found over the years. There are a few photos of radios
which I do not own which were captured from e-Bay auctions. Some of these photos
were captured before
this site was even a glimmer in my eye, and I do not know who they were from. If
you see a photo you took, please e-mail me and I will be happy to either give
recognition, or remove it, as you wish.
None of the radios pictured are for sale, and most of the information I have
is already listed. Currently, most of the radios pictured are pre-war. I am
compiling information for post-war years now, and will add it as I have time.
This site is currently being updated (July 2007), with links being fixed, new radios added, and more!
If you have an Air Chief radio which is not pictured, and would
like to submit a picture, please e-mail me. I would be happy to have any additional
photos or information which is not currently posted. Thanks,
peter at plasticradios dot com (replace the "at" with "@" and "dot" with ".")
